⚡ Pre-show hand warmers

Performance starts
with warm hands.

Every musician knows the feeling. You step onto the stage, adrenaline kicks in, and suddenly your hands aren't responding the way they should. Cold fingers mean slower movement, reduced accuracy, less control, and performances that don't reflect your true ability.

Up to 12 hours of heat, nothing to plug in. Lives in your gig bag.

Watch it work

Twenty nine seconds. Load-in, backstage, and the set, with the pack that gets you through it.

Sound on. It plays better that way.

Warm hands first

Because frozen fingers kill the set.

Whether you're playing guitar, bass, drums, piano, violin, or any instrument that demands precision, keeping your hands warm isn't about comfort, it's about protecting your performance. Hot Licks delivers consistent, long-lasting warmth before, during, and after your set. Stay loose, stay responsive, and play with the confidence that your hands are ready when it matters most.

Because great performances shouldn't be limited by the cold.

What cold costs you

Frozen fingers kill the set

You loaded gear through the cold and your hands never caught up. Now you're on stage and they still won't cooperate. Nobody makes it with lazy fingers, and your band remembers exactly who missed the notes.

01

Stiff, fumbling fingers

Cold muscles seize. Fast runs get away from you and bends go flat. You spend the night a half step behind your own playing.

02

Brutal load-ins

Cold metal cases, no gloves, dark alley, doors in twenty minutes. By soundcheck your hands are already cooked.

03

No time to warm up

Blowing into your hands backstage does nothing. You walk on cold and the first three songs pay for it.

The science

What cold actually does to your hands

  • Blood flow drops in the cold, and your fingers lose speed with it
  • Cold muscles and tendons move slower, so fast passages feel stiff and late
  • You tire out early and accuracy slides by the middle of the set
  • Timing and confidence take the hit right when the room is watching

If you've ever battled freezing fingers under stage lights, you know exactly what we're talking about. Warm hands stay loose and accurate, and the stuff you nailed in rehearsal shows up on stage.

Fix it before the next show ⚡
The Hot Licks ritual

Load in cold. Go on warm.

One pack covers the gap between a freezing load-in and downbeat.

⚡ The load-in

Stiff before you plug in

Gear's coming out of the van and your hands haven't caught up yet. They're already stiff, and stiff hands don't wait for soundcheck. That's where the night gets lost, before you ever plug in.

⚡ The charge up

Crack it and go

Pull a pack out of your gig bag on the way to the stage and snap it open. The air does the rest. A few minutes later your hands are warm and loose.

Play the best show of your life over and over

String players feel it first

🎸

Guitarists

Hand sync is the first thing the cold takes. Fast passages go slow and sloppy while everything else still feels fine.

🎚️

Bassists

Nobody markets anything to you. Cold fingers still kill your timing, and the whole room hears the low end drag.

🥁

The rest of the band

Drums, keys, vocals holding a cold mic. Buy a case and everybody on that stage goes on warm.

Who made these

A guitar player, not a gear company

Hot Licks comes from Mike Pries, guitarist in From Beneath, twenty years of playing and a lot of those years spent loading in through Canadian winters. He started carrying warmers to shows because his hands were costing him the first three songs. Then he started handing them to other players, and enough of them asked where to get some that this turned into a company.

Run out of Winnipeg, built for the rooms we actually play.

If you've shared a bill with us, you've probably already been handed one.

Got handed a pack

Tag us and we'll send the band a case

We've been putting samples in players' hands at shows across the country. If one made it into your gig bag, post it and tag @hotlicksltd. We repost every one, and bands that do get case pricing on their first order.

1. Crack it

Before load-in, before soundcheck, whenever your hands start going.

2. Film it

Backstage, in the van, on the fretboard. Nothing produced, nobody cares.

3. Tag @hotlicksltd

Story or post, either works. We'll share it out to the scene.

4. Get the band covered

Message us after and we'll set your band up at case pricing.

Sound check

Questions before the show

How long do they actually stay warm?

Up to 12 hours a pair once you open them. That covers load-in, soundcheck, your set, and tear-down.

How do I turn them on?

They run on air. Open the pack and give them a shake. They warm up on their own in a few minutes, and there's nothing to charge or plug in.

Will they fit in my gig bag?

Yes. Flat and pocket-sized. Drop a few in your gig bag or pedal case and you stop getting caught cold.

Are they reusable?

No. One pair per pack, single use. They run one long night and then get tossed. That's why players keep a stack in the van for a run of shows.

What if they don't work for me?

Every order is backed by the 30-day no-cold-hands guarantee. If Hot Licks doesn't keep your hands show ready, reach out and we'll make it right.

Can I order for my whole band or venue?

Yes. Grab the road case for the band, or use the wholesale link for case pricing on bigger orders for venues and shops.
